JOB: Visual Arts Instructor Confederation Centre Art Gallery

The Confederation Centre Art Gallery in Charlottetown seeks a Visual Arts Instructor for summer 2009 children’s art camps.
Reporting to the Education and Outreach Officer, the Visual Arts Instructor will facilitate classes for children aged 5-11. Full-day camps (July 13-17, July 20-24, Aug. 3-7 and Aug. 10-14) are Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Half –day camps (July 6-10 and July 27-31) are 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Interested applicants must possess the following skills:
• Professional training in the arts
• Experience with children
• Organizational and planning skills
• Leadership qualities, confidence and professionalism
• Strength in problem solving
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team player
• Flexibility and reliability
• Creativity
• CPR/First Aid Training (may be completed after hiring process)
Salary: $12.50 an hour.
